Creating and Managing Your Act

An Act is your performer profile — a solo act, a band, a duo, whatever fits how you perform. You create one the first time you sign up for an event (or any time from your Profile page), and you can reuse the same Act across as many events as you like.

What's on an Act

An Act has a name, a type (Music, Comedy, Poetry, Spoken Word, or Other), a slug-based public page at /acts/your-act-name, a bio, a photo, and links to your music or media — Spotify, Bandcamp, or an embeddable player, depending on what you use. Bands can add band members by user account, so multiple people can be credited and manage the Act together.

Songs and tours

Music acts can list original songs and covers, which show up when someone requests a song from you during a show that has song requests enabled. Acts can also maintain a tour list of upcoming stops, which is a handy way for fans who follow you to see where you're playing next, beyond just OpenStageCall listings.

Votes and followers

Each Act has a running vote total and a follower count, both visible on the Act's public page. Fans can follow an Act to keep up with it, and can cast one act-level vote per day in addition to any event-specific voting happening during a show.
